Mary Charlene GandyMary Charlene Gandy, 86, of Oil City, Louisiana passed away on March 1, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Oil City United Pentecostal Church in Oil City, LA, officiated by Rev. Kent Rhoads, Rev. Tommy Gandy, Rev. Larry Gandy, Rev. Bob Sibley, Judy Gandy and Relda Sibley. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oil City, Louisiana. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 3rd at Oil City United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Gandy was born on January 18, 1931 in Loco, Oklahoma to B. J. and Edna Latham. She lived most of her life in Oil City, LA, and was a member of Oil City United Pentecostal Church. Her two passions in life were her family and her church, both of which she loved dearly. She was involved in Women's Ministry and every other aspect of the church. She loved helping people.Charlene is preceded in death by her husband Carl Gandy, her parents, her brothers Glen, Gary, and Jack Latham, her sister Peggy Sirmons, and her grandson Chad Gandy. She is survived by her two sons Larry Gandy and wife Judy of Tyler, Texas and Tommy Gandy and wife Donna of Terrell, Texas, she is also survived by her sister Myrna Davis of Lorena, Texas, three grandchildren Stacey Carroll, Carla Gandy and Lori Green, seven great grandchildren Jaidon Gandy, Isabella Carroll, Adessa, Avalynn and Aspen Green, Avery and Jude Gandy, and numerous nieces and nephews and lots of friends. Pallbearers will be Sonny Furgeison, Jerry Allen, Howard Allen, Dewayne Broome, Ronnie Smith and Jimmy Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Jones and Curtis Durmon.
