MARY ELLEN STAMPER PORTER, 82, of Dunlow, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016, at
Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, W.Va., Pastor Greg Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at the
Greasy Ridge Cemetery, Dunlow. She was born on February 22, 1934, in Dunlow, a daughter of the late Glen and Estle Wellman Stamper. She was a homemaker. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Porter and her siblings Ruth, Everette, Leroy, Forrest, Geraldine, Eleanor and Christine. Survivors include her daughter Bonnie Porter of Fort Gay, W.Va.; son Clifton Porter (Teresa) of Dunlow; sister Irene Rose of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Selena and David Ferguson, Jason, Jessica and Cody Porter, Jesse Prince, Shari Devaney and Christopher Bowens, and 14 great-grandchildren, Molli and Ashton Ferguson, Mallory and Rilee White, Lance Hepler, Jesse Prince II, Kaylee and Eli Prince, Dylan, Madison and Gavin Devaney and Kaylei, Laiken and Ahlyah Bowens. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
