Mary A. Ladage 1923 - 2016Mary A. Ladage, 93, of Taylorville, passed away on Friday December 2, 2016 at her residence. She was born on January 11, 1923 in Springfield to Joseph and Dora Avish Kvitkauskas. Mary married Henry Ladage on September 4, 1943 in Springfield and he preceded her in death on July 28, 1977.Mrs. Ladage is survived by her four sons: Kenneth Charles (Judy) Ladage of Huntley, David Lee Ladage, Thomas Edward (Susan) Ladage and Richard H. (Mary) Ladage all of Taylorville, eight grandchildren: Alexander (Heather) Ladage, Megan (Jerry) Pellegrini, Rachel (Max) Getz, Allison Ladage, Christopher Ladage, Jeffrey Ladage, Adam (Colysta) Ladage and Joseph (Heather) Ladage, and eight great-grandchildren: Isabella, Lauren, and Michael Pellegrini, Gaige and Gabriella Getz, Kiley and Blake Ladage and Zander Frye.Mary worked for Sangamo Electric during World War II and then Sangamon Card Factory in Taylorville. She was active in the Christian County Home Extension, 4-H, Walther League and Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville where she taught Sunday School. Mrs. Ladage was a caring and compassionate lady who was nice to everyone she met. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family especially her beloved grandchildren.A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, with Rev. Rodney Blomquist officiating and burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 10:00am until the time of service Tuesday at Bisch West.
