Marie Louise Sidebottom, age 91, of Hale passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 25, 1925 in Detroit to Bernard and Mary (Roth) Gabriel. She worked in the clerical field for Civil Service Military. She married Laurence Sidebottom on Oct. 14, 1950 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Detroit. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church of Hale. She loved to paint, go to the casino, and she dearly loved her family.Marie is survived by her children, Jacqueline (Al) Emry of National City, Laurence (Elizabeth) Sidebottom Jr. of Comins, Gary (Rebecca) Sidebottom of Mio, Michael (Kelly) Sidebottom of Palmer, Alaska, Nancy (Fuzzy Melrose) Hennard of Prescott and Luke (Jill) Sidebottom of Hale; 31 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Joan Brunton, Gregory (Edithanne) Gabriel and Raymond Gabriel; sisters-in-law, Fran Gabriel, Theresa Gabriel and Delores Gabriel; brothers-in-law, Frank Richason and John Urban; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Laurence Sidebottom Sr.; son, James Sidebottom II; brothers, Leonard Gabriel, Edward Gabriel, Robert Gabriel, Bernard Gabriel, James Gabriel, Timothy Gabriel and Richard Gabriel; sisters, Sister Monica Gabriel, Delores Sidebottom, Phyllis Lemanski, Virginia Rinke, Bernice Urban and Loraine Richason. Visitation will take place on Monday, Aug. 1 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hale Chapel of Buresh Funeral Home.
