It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Maria Cruz, a beloved wife, mother, and friend. Born on January 1st, 1950 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Maria lived a life full of love and laughter before she passed away on July 9th, 2023 due to a stroke.

Maria's parents, Rafael Castillo Cruz and Marie Santos Cruz, raised her with a strong sense of family values. She married the love of her life, Miguel José Cruz, back in 1980 and together they had two children: Zulma Concepcion Cruz and Jose Hernandez.

After graduating from Juan Quirindon Go High School in 1967, Maria continued her studies at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras. She later went on to work as a registered nurse's assistance. Despite her busy life, Maria never forgot the importance of spending quality time with her family. She adored her two grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Maria will always be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering love for those around her. Her memory will live on through the countless people she touched throughout her life.
