Margaret E. MeekNaples, FLMargaret E. Meek, who called Naples her home for the better part of the past 50 years, passed away peacefully in her sleep December 26, 2016. She follows her husband, the late Lt. Col. John William Meek Jr. who passed away in Naples in 1975. Margaret was born on April 27, 1923 in Maryland and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, VA in 1941. Margaret met her husband on the boardwalk of Ocean City, MD in 1945. A world traveler and lover of dancing and cross-stitch, Margaret was a beloved aunt to Linda Tilley of PA and Kenny Etzler of MD. She is survived by her son, John William "Bill" Meek III; daughter-in-law, Barbara; her granddaughters, Kristine and Juliana; and, her great-grandson, John William, all of Naples. The family suggests donations to Avow Hospice of Naples.
