Marcelene GorhamSept. 1, 1936 - Nov. 1, 2016NILES - Marcelene Joy Gorham, 80, of Niles, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born on September 1, 1936, to the late Mark and Eileen (Halladay) Gorham. Marcelene was a faithful employee of the Edward Lowe Foundation for more than 40 years before her retirement. In her free time Marcelene could be found watching University of Michigan or Detroit sports, reading or spending time with her beloved cat. What made Marcelene most happy though was spending quality time with her nieces and nephews. Marcelene was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard, Donald, and Roger Gorham; and sister, Ann Sattelmaier.She is survived by her brother, Larry (Donna) Gorham of Cassopolis, and a host of nieces and nephews.In keeping with Marcelene's wishes, her family will be holding a private burial at Prospect Hill Cemetery where she will be interred.Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to Hospice at Home, located at 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085.
