Malcome A. Holcomb, 50, of Akron, Ohio, passed suddenly Tuesday, August 27, 2019 during a trip to Antartica. Malcome was born January 23, 1969.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dwayne and Ethel (Snoberfance) Holcomb.
Malcome was a pioneer and bellwether who set the tone for the rest of the news industry. He was a collector of leather bound books, Bigfoot researcher and stamp collector.
In his spare time he could be found driving the back roads of Carroll County talking to the locals, gathering stories for his articles.
He was proud of his mentoring program, and his favorite student, Jordan Miller.
He is survived by his constant companion, his cat, mittens.
No services will be held. Instead, donations can be made to the Carroll County Court House clock repair fund.
