Lorene D. Bell Dorsey, was born to the union of the late Ananine Bell and Lorene Bell on August 16, 1930 in Alexandria, LA.  She was baptized at an early age at Magnolia Baptist church by the late Rev. W.I. Jackson. She later joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.S. Lawson, where she remained a member until her passing.

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Dorsey, Jr. her father and mother.

Lorene loved cooking and spending time with family.

She leaves to cherish her memories: (2) sons; Russell Dorsey, Sr (Gracie) of Alexandria, LA and Garry Dorsey (Laura Ann) of Lafayette, LA; five daughters, Josie Dorsey, Leona (Michael) Keys, and Ruby (Carnell)Perry all of Alexandria, Dorothy (Tommy) Antonow of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Yolonda (Gerard) Sylvia of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
