Lelan H. RichmondINVERNESS, FL: Lelan H. Richmond, 81, of Inverness, FL died on November 30, 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL. Lelan was born on January 11, 1935 in Table Rock, WV, son of Elliott and Logene Richmond. He was a graduate from Morris Harvey College in Charleston, WV and served his country in the US Army. Lelan's profession included over 25 years of teaching with success in coaching basketball and golf. He had a secondary career selling insurance. He was a Christian. Lelan moved to Inverness in 2000 from Coshocton, OH. His memberships included the VFW, Inverness Elks, and the Moose Lodge in Crystal River. Mr. Richmond was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Richmond in 2003. Survivors include three sons, Duane Richmond of Grayson, GA, Doug Richmond of Grayson, GA, and Todd Richmond and wife Patty of Lewis Center, OH; and four grandchildren, Ryan Richmond and Alexis Richmond both of Lewis Center, OH and Sullivan Richmond and Lanie Richmond both of Grayson, GA. A memorial service for Mr. Richmond will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Heinz Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until the hour of services.
