Lee Ray Hall, 91, of Collins, Mississippi, passed away on October 27, 2025. Born on April 15, 1934, Lee was a beloved member of the community. Known for his kindness and generosity, Lee touched the lives of all who knew him. Lee Ray devoted over a decade of his life to serving as a volunteer firefighter, a role that exemplified his commitment to his community and his willingness to help others in times of need. Alongside this noble service, he spent 25 years as a math teacher, imparting knowledge and inspiring countless students with his passion for education. His dual roles as a volunteer firefighter and educator reflect a life spent in service to others.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Lee Ray was a man deeply connected to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Judy Hall, his stepdaughter, Carrie McCraw (Wade), his cherished grandsons, Tristan Hopkins, Ethan Hopkins and Logan Hopkins, all of Magee, MS, and his great-grandson, Keegan Hopkins, of Salt Lake City, UT. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Homer and Paula Smith Hall, one sister, Glenda Moore, and one brother, Michael Hall.
A memorial service to honor Lee Ray's life will be held on November 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. John Ward officiating. As we gather to celebrate his life, we remember a man whose heart was as vast as the outdoors.
