Karen M. MitchellRockledgeKaren McKinley Mitchell, 71, of Rockledge, Florida, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017.  Karen was born on November 22, 1945 in Evansville, Indiana to Kathleen and A.M. "Mac" McKinley.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Paul Gates Mitchell.  She will be greatly missed by her daughters Hillary, Hope, and Ashley, her brother, Michael McKinley, their respective spouses, as well as her 7 grandchildren and 2 nephews.  Karen retired from Brevard County Schools after nearly 20 years of teaching and inspiring children at Golfview and Saturn Elementary Schools.Services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6 - 7PM at Beckman Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Melbourne, Florida; friends and family may visit one hour prior to the services.  A graveside service will be held at the Seminole Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2PM.  Condolences may be shared at www.beckmanwilliamson.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Health First.
