Juliette Marie CAZA Obituary

Dec 17, 1921 - Dec 09, 2016

This obituary is administered by:
JULIETTE MARIE (GAY) CAZA It is with great sadness that we share with you the death of Juliette Marie (Gay) Caza. As I, Fr. John Baptist Okai was stroking her hair, she passed away peacefully from Mother Earth at 8:15 in the morning on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina. Julie was born on December 17, 1921 in Canuck – a little town near Climax, Saskatchewan. She was one week shy of her 95th birthday. She was predeceased by her dearest husband, Louis (Lou) Joseph Anicet Caza (October 12, 2011), her parents, who came from Lyons, France: Thomas Gay (1951) and Marguerite Range (1970), her siblings: Paul (1981), John (1997), RenΓ© (2004) and Suzanne (2009). Julie grew up in a hard-working family that understood the ethics of beginning life with nothing. Loving each member of the family was key to their unity in one spirit. She was youthful at heart, elegant and graceful, reserved, quiet yet strong, loved music, appreciated and lived for the beauty of life. She loved playing softball and was very good at it. She left home quite young, attended a Hairdressing School and established her own Salon in Regina. She was a meticulous hairdresser. Although quite simple and non-materialistic, she had an exquisite taste for quality dress codes that complimented her appearance. "Blessed are the peacemakers" – and yes, Julie can surely be counted amongst peacemakers on Mother Earth. Her forgiving and reconciling heart make her an exceptional person to meet. We are glad to have met her because she touched us deeply. She loved the farm, and we took many trips to the farm. There, I witnessed her profound and deep spirituality about the inseparable connectedness between the mundane and the sacred. She is truly a beloved child of the Creator! We, Edna Brenner (Sister-in-law), Bonnie Brenner (niece) (Iosif [Joe] and Ivan Moravetz), Fr. John-Baptist Okai (adopted son), Anastasia Okai-Brown (Lincoln, Lorato, Thandolwethu and Lulama Brown), and her dear and closest friends, Sr. Alvina-Marie Charlebois, sfcc, and Wilf and Monica Gelinas will miss Julie's unconditional love, her generous heart of gold, and her contagious, infectious and daring smiles that captivate one's imagination. This unique personality of a Dearest and Loving Mom, Julie, characterized with a heart of gold, needs to be celebrated in style! Prayers will be on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. by Denise Palmarin. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. JB Okai officiating. Both celebrations will take place at St. Peter Parish, 100 Argyle Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, you may kindly make donations to Scholarship Sponsorship ("Education Empowers, Roots for Life [EERL]) through the St. Peter Parish in honour of Julie who supported this worthy cause, or to any charitable organization of your choice. We extend a sincere and profound gratitude to the medical doctors and nurses at the Regina General and Pasqua Hospitals, as well as caregivers at the Olive Branch Care Home – never forgetting Wilf and Monica Gelinas for their hospitality toward Julie. We extend equal appreciation to Lee Funeral Home and its directors for the funeral arrangements. We will miss you dearly, Mom! May you rest in perfect peace. Amen.
You can to the family or in memory of Juliette CAZA.
