Joyce BoldtJoyce A. Boldt, passed away peacefully Monday, August 14, 2017 in North Mankato, MN. She was 85.Joyce A. Berg was born on May 2, 1932 in Marion, SD to John and Luella (Schrag) Berg. She graduated from Marion High School in 1950.On September 10, 1950 Joyce was united in marriage to Bernard Boldt in Marion, SD. They became loving parents to their five children and moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1953. After raising children, they moved to Wyoming from 1977-1983; then moved back to Sioux Falls. Joyce worked for Sioux Valley Hospital in 1985-1989 as an evening supervisor of housekeeping. She then went to work for Social Services of SD State and retired in 1994. Bernard passed October 28, 2011.Joyce was a member of Faith Baptist Fellowship and of Center for Active Generation. She volunteered at Union Gospel Mission and enjoyed visiting with people. Grateful for having shared her life are her children Pamela (J. Frank) Foss of North Mankato, MN, Tim (Lori) Boldt of Sioux Falls, SD, Michael (Cheryl) Boldt of Sioux Falls, SD, Brad (Erin) Boldt of Sioux Falls, SD and Bryce (Teri) Boldt of Scottsdale, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Boldt; parents, John and Luella Berg; brother, Loren; infant sister; grandson, Marine Lance Corporal Jeremy Bohlman; and sister-in-law, Viola Berg. Memorial Visitation 5 - 7pm Thursday, August 17, 2017 and Memorial Service 11am Friday, August 18, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home - Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls, SD. Private committal service by family will take place prior to memorial service at Hills of Rest Memorial Park.
