We are saddened to announce the passing of Joshua Ussery, who left this world on November 10, 2025, at the young age of 19. Born on August 6, 2006, in Birmingham Junction, Alabama, Joshua brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.

Joshua was a bright and talented individual who excelled in his academics, graduating from Woodlawn High School in 2024 and continuing his studies at Kennesaw State University, where he planned to graduate in 2028. He was passionate about helping others and dedicated his time to volunteering with the Red Cross organization.

In his free time, Joshua enjoyed playing basketball and football, engaging in video games, singing and dancing, and attending church. His infectious smile and positive attitude touched the lives of many.

Joshua is survived by his loving parents, Johnny Ussery and Susan Jacobs. Though he had no children of his own, he was a beloved son, friend, and member of his community.

Joshua's life was tragically cut short by gun violence, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
