Joseph Stovall, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 1, 2025 in a tragic car accident. He was born on June 19, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to his parents Medwick Stovall and Geraldine Kirk.

Joseph graduated from Kenwood Academy High School in 1977 and went on to marry his high school sweetheart, Thelma Collins-Stovall, of 32 years. Together, they had two beautiful children, Sharon Stovall and Kyla Stovall, who brought them endless joy. Joseph was also a loving spouse to his wife, and a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren.

Joseph had many passions in life, including music, spending time with his family, and simply enjoying all that life had to offer. He was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family.

Joseph will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved. Rest in peace, Joseph, Daddy, “Crew”.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine Kirk, father Medwick Stovall, and sister Cozette Parker.
