It is with love and reflection that we announce the passing of Joseph Anthony Morrison, age 26, who left us on July 15th, 2025. Joseph was a person of deep complexity, whose life was marked by both resilience and kindness. While he faced challenges that were not always visible to others, his impact on the world was undeniable, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Born on May 20th, 1999, in Fort Collins, Colorado, Joseph was a unique soul—quiet yet thoughtful, introverted yet compassionate. Though he often navigated his internal struggles, Joseph was known for his caring nature, offering support to friends and family in ways big and small. He had a remarkable ability to listen, to understand, and to share his warmth, even when he was going through difficult times.
Joseph was deeply creative and had an artistic side that allowed him to express emotions and thoughts that words sometimes couldn’t capture. Whether it was through writing, music, art, or just the way he connected with others, he left a lasting impression on the lives he touched.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Crystal Brist; his stepfather, Tony Brist; and his stepbrothers, Christopher Brist, Logan Brist, and Nick Brist, who will remember him not for the hardships he faced but for the love, laughter, and wisdom he brought to those around him. His presence will be missed, but his memory will continue to inspire, reminding us all of the quiet strength that lies within us and the importance of kindness in every moment.
In honor of Joseph, we encourage all who knew him to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of life, to embrace those around him with compassion, and to find peace in the knowledge that even in the toughest times, love and connection can shine through.
A private service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Joseph's memory.
Rest peacefully, Joseph. You have left a beautiful mark on this world, and you will be deeply missed.
