Jordan H. AbnerMANSFIELD: Jordan H. Abner, 87, of Lexington, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016, following a lengthy illness.Jordan was born on March 28, 1929, in Walnut Grove, TN, to Clovis W. and Myrtle (Johnson) Abner. He proudly served his country, in both the U.S. Army Air Corps, and the U.S. Air Force, during the Korean War, and retiring from the Military after 22 years of serving his country. Jordan was a graduate of Ohio University, and worked as an Industrial Engineer for Armco, retiring after 25 years of employment. In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing, but he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. He was married for 63 years to Annalee (Grimshaw) Abner, and she survives him.Along with his wife, Annalee, he is survived by two sons, Stephen Lee (Patricia) Abner of Pataskala, and William C. (Teresa) Abner of Lexington; four grandchildren, Bradley, Stacey, Thomas, and Brian; and one sister, Wilma Hurst of Alabama.Jordan was preceded in death by his parents and one son, David Abner.Private calling hours will be observed. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH, with full military honors.
