Sister Jonnie Mae Tezeno was born on January 4,1955 in Sulphur, La to the late Son and Rosa Lee Porter. She was a member and First Lady of Harvest Time Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Herbert Tezeno. 

Sister Jonnie departed from this earthly life on July 12, 2019. She was a dedicated and loyal employee of Carl’s Rental where she developed life long relationships with her coworkers and customers. She loved working in her yard, spending time with her family and researching her family ancestry.

She leaves to cherish her memories six children Arther Wayne (Michelle) Chavis, Yolanda and Elonda Chavis, Katrina (Chip) Edwards, Dedtrick Todd Chavis and Gearld (Santana) Chavis all of Lake Charles. She departs from 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one sister Rose Vincent, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She is proceeded in death by her parents Son and Rosa Lee Porter, 3 sisters Flora Mae Rayon, Mary Bell Prescott and Paula Roberts; 4 brothers Billy Ray Ryan, Sammie Strout, Freddie Porter and Bennie Porter.
