John P. Trusty, 32, of Erie, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016, at UPMC Hamot. He was born on May 7, 1984, in Erie, Pa., a son of John P. and Betty Jane Simpson Trusty of Erie. John was an avid fisherman and Dallas Cowboys fan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Damian Trusty of North East, two brothers, Matthew Trusty of Florida and Kevin Trusty and his wife Celia of North East and his paternal grandparents, John and Hilda Trusty of Michigan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the W. Tad Bowers Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake St., North East, Pa., on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of a group prayer service there at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
