Big Mike was a very talented Artist, Boxer, A/C Repairman, Mechanic, Carpenter, Lead Guitarist, Lead Quartet Singer, Preacher, Teacher, and Father. He had the biggest heart and loved All his children. John was proceeded in death by his Mother, Iola Carter(Carverdale, Houston, TX) and elder brother Edward Lee. He is survived by his Sisters: Springer Douglas, Joanne Latham, Jeanette Fortune, Mary Carter, and Paula Boyd, Brothers: Willie Bruce Fortune, Craig Anthony Miles, Author Latham, Paul Carter, Hugh Audry Carter Daughters: Michaelanette ( Warren) Hall, Alicia Rochelle Smith, Latoya Chevelle Hines, Kimberly Hines, Toni Robinson, and Danielle, 24 Grandchildren, and 9 Great Grandchildren, as well as his wife Brenda and 3 Step-Children with many grands and great grands in Georgia, who were with him all the way to the end.
