Alice Garner, beloved wife of James Garner, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, in her home in Lufkin, Texas, United States. She was born on March 25, 1938.
Alice attended Effingham High School where she excelled in her studies and developed a love for learning. After graduating, Alice pursued her passion for travel, exploring different parts of the world and immersing herself in different cultures.
Aside from her love for travel, Alice was a dedicated mother to her three children, Teresa Klick, Suzanne Reese, and Jimmy Garner. She also loved her grandchildren very much Mary Varnado who she was living with at the time of her passing. She was very close with all 14 of her great grandchildren and very active in each one of their life’s. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.
Alice leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.
There will be a celebration of life on Friday May, 8th 2026 in Jacksonville Florida. Rest in peace, Alice. Your memory will forever live on in our hearts.
