"Sister Wright"...A Life Well Lived

Ms. Jerilean Matthews was born in Waycross, GA on April 6, 1925, to the late Marvin Buster and Willie Ella Myles Wright…

She received her formal education in the public schools in Ware County School System.

She departed this life on Thursday, May 21, 2020 while under hospice care. Jerilean was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Matthews; her sisters, Addie Mae Golden, Zina Josey, Constance Hollis; Rosa Lee Wright: her brothers, Lodies Wright, Marvin Wright Jr., Nathaniel Carter, Willis Wright, Tommie Wright. One grandson, Gerald Matthews, and great-grandson, Jacob Davis  

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughters, Eddie Jean Thomas (Chicago, Ill), Kathy Matthews and Colleen O'Hara (Brunswick, Ga) ; devoted sons Ronald Matthews, Sr (Savannah, Ga) and Luke (Anne) Matthews (Alabama); Her Grandchildren, Joe Peterson, Jeanette Peterson, Manuelito Thomas, Cornelius Thomas, Maurice Thomas, Ricardo Matthews, Yolanda Matthews, Ronald Matthews Jr., Nikia Matthews, Reginald Matthews, Constance Matthews, Victor Matthews, Tiana Matthews, Mitchell (Latrese) Matthews, Eureka Matthews, Joshua Wayne, Kenisha (Paul) Jones, Kenneth Henley, Jr.;  Thirty-five great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. One sister Helen Carter and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
