Jarrel Neil JohnsonJackson - Jarrel Neil Johnson, age 54, a resident of Jackson,La. passed away on Thursday September 21, 2017, following a lengthy hospitalizaton at Ochsner's N.O. from multiple complications of open heart surgery. He was born in Winnsboro, La. on October 18, 1962. Prior to his return to Jackson, La., in 2015, he had been employed as a Safety Engineer in West Monroe, La. He was an avid outdoorsman. Jarrel is survived by his parents, Edwin E. "Buddy" and Ann McDuffie Johnson of Jackson,La.; daughter, Alaina of San Bernardino, California; son's Joshuah of West Monroe, La. and Zachary, United States Air Force. Jarrel visited California just recently for the birth of his first grandchild, Gage, "GiGi" born on June 6, 2017. He is also survived by two brothers, Douglas and his twin, Terral, of Jackson, La. There are nieces and nephews and dear friends who will miss him. Jarrel will be remembered as a loving son and a devoted father to his children. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Saturday, September 30, from 5pm - 8pm at the Jackson Civic Center, Jackson, La.
