MountjoyJames Edward Mountjoy, III, age 92 died Oct. 21, 2017 with family present. He was born on Aug. 13, 1925 to James E. and Helen (nee Lillard) Mountjoy in Warsaw, Kentucky. Jim served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years during WWII. He graduated from the Univ. of Michigan in 1950 and remained a loyal fan ever after. Jim worked at Central Trust Co. for 40 years serving as Senior Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Directors. He carried on his mother's legacy of planting dogwoods, including 80 at Twin Lakes. One of Jim's favorite places was their cottage on Torch Lake, Michigan. Jim leaves behind Kate, his wife of 57 years, daughters Jane (Alan) Mountjoy-Venning and Beth (Steve Maguire) Mountjoy, and grandchildren Helen and Cliff Mountjoy-Venning. Visitation will be held at Spring Grove Funeral Home Willow Room at noon on Nov. 11, with a service following at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gallatin County Historical Society in Warsaw, KY, Cincinnati Nature Center, or the Twin Lakes Benevolent Fund.
