James Albert Taylor, 97, of Brawley, CA passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. James was born on January 5, 1919 in Carter, Oklahoma. He married Lauretta Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 of his siblings. He is survived by his wife, Lauretta Anne Taylor; children, Gwen (Larry) Plano of Branson, MO, Joyce (David) Frichtel of Sacramento, CA, Janet (Ed) Otter of Brawley, CA, Ralph (Linette) Taylor of Brawley, CA, Val (Susan) Taylor of Colbert, WA, Justina (Nickolas) Aguirre of Brawley, CA and James D. (Ashley) Taylor of Brawley, CA; 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. at Frye chapel and Mortuary in Brawley, CA. Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brawley, CA. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley, CA.
