James Baker, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, in Charleston , West Virginia.

James was born on July 17, 1963, to James Ralph Baker Sr. and Margie Ellen Meadows in McDowell, West Virginia. He married his loving wife, Terra Baker, in 1997 and they were blessed with three children: Hunter Baker (Abigail Adkins) Chelsie Baker (Taylor Shockley) and Briana Adams (Roy Davis).

James is also survived by his Sisters, Ellen Elmore (Tom) and Alethea (Cookie) Gallagher (Jim) 

grandchildren:

Baylor Zane Baker, and Ruger Clay Davis.

Nieces and Nephews, Michael Elmore(Paige), Matthew Elmore (Katie), Justin Meadows (Megan), Derick Meadows, Brian Gallagher (Chantella), Joshua Hall (Morgan) and Peyton Jackson. 

Great Nieces and Nephews: 

Nova and Bishop Elmore, Gatlin Elmore, Kendall  kegley, Percival Gallagher, Camden and Harlem Hall. 

James attended Greenbrier East High School and graduated in 1981. He went on to serve in the Army and came home to take care of his grandmother while starting at The Greenbrier Hotel, where he dedicated 39 years of his life.

James had many hobbies that he enjoyed, including woodworking, fishing, hunting, and coaching. He was known for his kind heart and willingness to help others.

James will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
