James Kelly Jr of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on December 25, 1949, to James Kelly Jr and Lille Mae Kelly.

James was a loving father to his nine children: Christopher, Shanelle, James Kelly, Kendrick, Matthew, Tinecia, Shalitha, Miranda, and James Norris He was a dedicated family man who always put his loved ones first.

After graduating from Havelock High School in 1969, James pursued a career as a Truck Driver after retiring from the truck driving Business he worked as a ILA Employee at the Morehead and Wilmington port. He was known for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor, making him a beloved member of the community.

James had a passion for fishing, working on cars, riding motorcycles with his sons and baking. He loved spending time outdoors and could often be found enjoying nature with his family and friends.

Despite his passing, James will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Debora N. Kelly of the home; his children Christopher Kelly, James Kelly, Kendrick Kelly, Matthew Kelly, Shanelle Frazier, Tinecia Kelly, Marinda Murray, Shalitha Swindell and James Norris; Mother Lille Mae Kelly; Sisters; Amy Reeves, Armenter Ellis and Vivian Bryant, nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
