Irene George, age 94, of Evergreen, Alabama, passed away on May 15, 2024. She was born on June 3, 1929, and married her beloved husband John D. George in 1943. Together, they raised eight children who brought them immense joy.

Irene was known for her dedication to her faith as an Ordained Preacher, a role she held until her retirement in 2009. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking up delicious meals and working on the family farm.

While Irene's memory may have faded in her later years due to Alzheimer's, her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family.
