Harvey K. BenedictBattle CreekHarvey K. Benedict, age 85, of Battle Creek, MI went to be with our Lord on October 12, 2017.  He was born on December 21, 1931 in Beulah, Michigan, the son of Frank and Ethel (Stafford) Benedict.  Harvey graduated in 1950 from Benzonia High School, then served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1959.  He was united in marriage on December 11, 1960 in Battle Creek to Donna I. Lugar.  Harvey was employed by the Kellogg Company from 1955 until his retirement in 1991.  He was a member of the Kellogg Twenty-Five-Year Club, and the Kellogg Retirees Association.  In his spare time, he enjoyed bird watching, and tinkering with projects like making windchimes.  Harvey loved his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Ethel Benedict; daughter, Susan Ralston; brothers, Clark and Warren Benedict; sisters, Bette Campbell and Lolita Veenstra.  Harvey is survived by his wife Donna I. Benedict of Battle Creek, daughters Ann (Ken) Cilley of Battle Creek, Janet (Timothy) Mantei of Butte, North Dakota, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Visitation was held at at the Richard A.
