CLANCY, Jr., Harold L.Harold L. Clancy, Jr., 74, of Ossian, IN, formerly of Lake Worth, FL, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Ossian Health & Rehabilitation. He was born on October 16, 1942, in Washington, DC to the late Harold L. and Minnie L. (Niestrath) Clancy. On December 2, 1964, he married Barbara J. Lipp. He was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Wellington, FL. He served his country in the United States Army and he also worked in the furniture business. Harold worked for the White House Communication Agency, a military unit dedicated to providing service and support to the President and his staff. He served in the Presidential Detail for John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara J. Clancy of Ossian, IN; a son, Michael P. Clancy of New Orleans, LA; a brother, Dennis D. (Elby) Clancy of Newton, IL; a sister, Debra J. (Simon) Dean of London, England. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly J. Neighbors and Linda L. Honey, and a brother, George T. Clancy. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Ossian Church of the Nazarene, 302 N Metts St, Ossian, IN. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Miller and Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 43. Burial will take place in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian, IN, at a later date. Memorials may be made to . Arrangements by Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur, IN.
