We are saddened to announce the passing of Hakeem Skipworth, who was born on April 22, 1963, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. He passed away on April 3, 2025.

Hakeem is survived by his mother, Karlyn, his loving spouse, Gretchen, whom he married in 2005, and his two children, Rome and Shannon, along with Shannon's spouse, Raphael Pacaud. He also leaves behind three grandchildren and a plethora of family and friends.

Hakeem attended Scotland School for Veterans’ Children high school and graduated in 1981. He went on to work at the Ritz Carlton for over 30 years and retired in 2023.

Throughout his life, Hakeem enjoyed going to his church, Dare 2 Imagine, spending time with his family, going on fun trips with his wife, and most importantly, reading his bible.

Unfortunately, poor health and a stroke led to Hakeem's passing.

Hakeem will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
