Reeder, age 80, of Kenton, DE, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 19, 2016.Mrs. Reeder was born on May 27, 1936, in Pennsville, NJ, the daughter of the late Bertha Beale Harcum and James T. Harcum.She was a loving homemaker who had a passion for making quilts for her family and others.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Libby Lloyd, Mamie Garbini and Jane Paleschic.She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bruce; five children, Donald Bruce Reeder (Arlene) of Smyrna, DE, Susan Pizzini (Ben) of Landenberg, PA, Nancy Blackwell (Chris) of Galena, MD, Carol Reeder of Wilmington, DE and Beverly Reeder of Wilmington, DE; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; her brother, James T. Harcum (Marlene) of Ocala, FL; her sister, Edith Taylor (George) of Jacksonville, FL; and her beloved dog, Charlie.A viewing will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 10 am to 12 pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna, DE, where services will begin at 12 pm.Burial will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Glen Mills, PA.Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
