George Myers, age 87, passed away on August 7, 2025 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina due to a stroke. George was born on June 14, 1938 to James "Jim" and Dorothy Myers. He married his loving wife, Nancy, in 1960 and spent the rest of his life telling everyone that he "could not believe he landed such a catch." George proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 1962 to 1964. He dedicated 38 years to Halliburton Services in Scheduling and Rolling Equipment. George had a deep passion for fishing and cars, both being hobbies that he shared with his boys. George is survived by his wife, Nancy Myers, and their two sons: Bobby Myers, and Donald and his wife Kim Myers. He was also the proud grandfather of Steven Myers. George was a kind-hearted and hardworking man who was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
