In Loving Memory of Gary Whidbee

Gary Whidbee, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 67. He was born on February 8, 1956, to the late al whidbee and laretta Whidbee in a small town in North Carolina. Gary’s sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Gary was a devoted family man, leaving behind cherished memories for his two loving daughters, Alicia and Felicia Whidbee. He was a proud and doting grandfather to his eight adoring grandchildren, whose lives he touched with his wisdom, warmth, and boundless love. John's legacy will be carried on through his family, who will forever treasure the lessons he taught and the love he shared.

Professionally, Gary was a skilled and dedicated construction worker for over two decades. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence made him highly respected within his field. He took pride in his craft, leaving his mark on numerous structures in the community he called home.

Gary was not only admired for his professional accomplishments but also for his involvement in the Masonic fraternity. As a Freemason, he embodied the principles of brotherhood, charity, and truth. His contributions to the Masonic community will be remembered and appreciated by his fellow brethren.

While Gary’s life was tragically cut short, his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. His warm smile, genuine concern for others, and his ability to bring people together will be dearly missed. John's passing was a result of a sudden heart attack, reminding us all of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment.

Gary’s loving wife, Jeane Whidbee, stood by his side through thick and thin. Their love was an inspiration to all who witnessed it. Together, they shared a bond that was unbreakable, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Jeane, along with their daughters and grandchildren, find solace in the memories they created as a family.

A memorial service will be held on October 24th , 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, where John was an active member.
