Frangla V. Larson, 96St. Cloud, MinnesotaMay 11, 1920 ~ Feb. 13, 2017Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Frangla V. Larson, 96, of St. Cloud will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park.  Fran passed away peacefully in her sleep with her loving husband, Dale, by her side on Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Benedict's Center in St Cloud.  Reverend David Grundman will officiate.  Inurnment will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls at a later date.Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Fran was born on May 11, 1920 in Ripley Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late George and Alma (Doucette) St. Onge.  She grew up in Ripley Township and moved to Minneapolis for employment in 1942, working at Twin City Ordinance Plant and Dayton's. Fran met Chris Townsend and they were married on June 10, 1950.  The couple moved to Seattle, WA where their son Leon was born.  Fran moved to Little Falls in September of 1953 with Leon after the death of her husband. Fran married Dale E. Larson on July 22, 1964 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls.  They lived in numerous US cities with Dale working for General Motors until 1991. They moved to St. Cloud after Dale retired. Fran enjoyed making dolls, knitting, crocheting, wall mounted needlework and traveling to all 50 states with Dale. She was proud of her granddaughters and great grandchildren and treasured time with them.  Fran was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Christian Women and Mission Group.  She is survived by her husband, Dale; son Leon (Beth) Townsend of Marshalltown, IA; granddaughters and their children, Holly (Nathan) Harrison & Alexandra; Kendall (Thomas) Helmer & Thomas Dale and Harlan Lee.She was preceded in death by her siblings, Nyda and Irving.A Heartfelt thank you to the 3rd floor staff at St. Benedict's Center for their kind and compassionate care in keeping Fran comfortable.
