Faye Janette McLaughlinZANESVILLE: Faye Janette McLaughlin, 89, of Zanesville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 22, 1926 in Helena, Ohio to the late Louis E. and Hazel (Kille) Bowers. Faye was a kind, gentle, loving, intelligent, proud Irish woman with an appreciation for knowledge. She was stylish and neat in her appearance with a strong work ethic. She was a graduate of the Meredith Business College. She worked in the insurance and real estate business. She retired after working several years as a dispatcher at The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Zanesville Post. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.She loved flowers, gardening, reading, and listening to music. Her greatest joy was baking cookies with her granddaughters.She is survived by her sons, Gary (Jacquie) McLaughlin of Zanesville, Jay McLaughlin of Atlanta, Georgia; and a daughter, Kay (Roger) Snider of Nashport, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Julia McLaughlin of Kennesaw, Georgia. She is also survived by a sister, Jean Berridge of Fostoria, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jennifer Pizzaloto, Kaely (Ryan) Bleakney, Kasey Snider and Olivia McLaughlin; great grandchildren, Carson Pizzaloto, Brayden Bleakney, Brady Pizzaloto, and soon to be baby Bleakney. She also loved her pets, Mickey, Max, Jerry, and Lucy.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack McLaughlin who died on April 24, 1965; her sisters, Lois Stiger, Helen B. N. Kittle, Eleanor Reihing, and Joyce Haddix; two brothers, Ray Bowers and Ned Bowers.A Celebration of life and a time to be with family will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday, October 12, 2015 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 West Military Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
