Evelyn B. McAbeeGreerEvelyn Bryant McAbee, 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Greer on March 2nd, 2017, surrounded by her family.Evelyn was born on November 1st, 1929 in Greer to Bluford B. Bryant and Clara Brannon Bryant. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law and friend. She is remembered for her ever-present smile, warm laugh, love of food, family and friends, and her strong Christian faith. Evelyn was a long-time employee of the Bank of Greer, McAbee Tractor and Turf and was a member of Praise Cathedral in Greer.She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don McAbee; her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Sharon McAbee; a sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Bill Taylor; brother-in-law, Bud McAbee; sister-in-law, Sandra McAbee; brother-in-law, Joe McAbee; brother-in-law, Jim Sudduth; and sister-in-law, Lavonia Snow all of Greer, along with many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Lowell Bryant and B.B. Bryant.A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5th, 2017 at Praise Cathedral, conducted by Rev. Jerry Madden.
