With great sadness in our hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Ernest J. Cejka, who was our beloved Husband, Dad, and Papa. On Monday November 21, 2016, Ernie passed away unexpectedly at Riviera Country Club in Holly Hill, FL a place he loved being at. He was born on February 17, 1943 in Garfield Heights OH, a son of the late Ernest and Estelle Zircowski Cejka. A veteran serving in the US Army, he was also a graduate of Marietta College in Marietta, OH. Ernest was a resident of Ormond Beach for the past 29 years and a proud member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. During this time, he was also associated with Rivera Country Club and Grand Haven Country Club, where he loved golfing and the countless friendships that he formed while on the golf course. An adventurous 73 year old, he also enjoyed landscaping and recently took up water sports in an attempt to keep up with his grandchildren. His greatest passion in life was his family. He was a loving husband of 46 years to his wife. He was also an active and involved father coaching baseball and basketball for his three sons who he admired and encouraged. In addition to his wife Joanne, he is immediately survived by his sons including Todd Michael and his wife Stacey of Ponte Vedra FL; Brian Ernest and his wife Amanda of Dallas TX; Brad E. and his wife Blythe of Jacksonville Beach FL. He is also survived by his six grandchildren that he adored - Jay, Evelyn, Jonathan, Jillian, Molly and Owen. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach, FL 32136. A Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, November 26 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 89 Saint Mary Place, Bunnell, FL 32110. With Ernie's passion for golf, in lieu of Flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Volusia Flagler Junior Golf Association c/o Ryan Meyers at Riviera Country Club, 500 Calle Grande St., Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
