Our beloved husband and father, Eric J. Hutchison of South Branch passed away Sept. 23, 2013 at the age of 88. He was born on Nov. 17, 1924 to Eric Lampela and Esther Hayward. He was married to his wife, Harriet, for 62 years and they raised four children, Eric (Karen) Hutchison, Claudia (Steve) Brust, Diane Hutchison and Michael (Billie Jo) Hutchison. He is also survived by grandchildren, Eric and Brian Hutchison and Jonathan, Lauren Young, Steven and Crystal; and cousins, Mark and Kris Hildebrandt.Eric worked for the Euclid Road Machinery Company (Terex), a division of General Motors, for 30 years in service and sales and he retired as district service manager in 1979. Eric served the 16th Armored Division during World War II. He served in Germany under General George Patton's command. He also attended the Nuremberg trials. Eric enjoyed many activities including hunting, fishing, boating and golf. Eric was a co-founder of the County Club of Hudson in Ohio, established in 1967. A memorial service along with military honors was held Monday, Sept. 30. Interment was in Grove Cemetery in South Branch. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation.
