We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Eddy Gonzalez, who was born on June 7, 1951, in Charleston, West Virginia. Eddy passed away on August 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Eddy was the beloved son of Gabrel and Elisa Gonzalez and the proud father of Shanae and Summer Gonzalez. He also leaves behind three adoring grandchildren, Jasmine Powell, Zachary Arnett and Aaliyah hampton.

Eddy spent many years working in construction, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. He eventually retired in 2012, but his passion for building never wavered.

When he wasn't on the job site, Eddy could often be found indulging in his favorite hobby’s: fishing and building things. He loved nothing more than casting a line into the water and spending peaceful hours in nature and using his imagination to create wonderful pieces of art out of wood.

Unfortunately, Eddy's life was cut short by lung cancer, a battle he fought with bravery and dignity.

While we mourn the loss of Eddy, let us also remember the joy and laughter he brought to our lives. His sense of humor and infectious smile will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Eddy Gonzalez. You may have left this world, but your memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
