Douglas "Doug" E. AdamsZANESVILLE: Douglas "Doug" E. Adams, 67, of Zanesville died Friday, February 19, 2016 at the residence following a sudden illness.He was born on May 17, 1948 in Zanesville the son of Dallas G. and Virginia (Stewart) Adams.Doug was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, and retired as a machinist from Allied Machine Works after 38 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Doug is survived by his wife of the home, Sandra "Sandy" K (Neibarger) Adams whom he married on February 23, 1974; two children, Shawn (Janine) Adams of Gahana and Shannon (Mark) Oblaczynski of Grove City; four grandchildren, Emma & Chloe Adams and Connor & Ella Oblaczynski; and his step-mother, Barbara Adams of Newcomerstown. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Monday February 22nd from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm with Funeral service to follow at 12:30 pm at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Teeter officiating. Private burial will conclude at a later date at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville is in charge of the arrangements.
