It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorthea Braswell, who was born on January 21, 1933, and peacefully left this world on January 6, 2024. Dorthea resided in the undefined area throughout her life, creating a history rich in love, compassion, and dedication.

Dorthea was blessed with six children, each holding a special place in her heart. Her children, Kenn, Donnie, Micheal, Catherine, Cliffton, and Tomas, brought immense joy and pride into her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Education played a significant role in Dorthea's life, as she believed in the power of knowledge and personal growth. She attended Northside High School, where she further nurtured her thirst for learning, leading her to become a lifelong learner and an advocate for education.

Dorthea's legacy extends beyond her immediate family, as she was also a beloved grandmother to nine grandchildren. She showered them with love, kindness, and wisdom, always providing a source of inspiration and guidance.

On January 6, 2024, Dorthea departed this world due to heart failure. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her warm smile, loving presence, and unwavering support will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
