Dorothy Mae ProiaMarch 6, 2017Dorothy Mae Proia was born on February 14, 1934 in Joliet, Illinois to her parents Joseph and Rose Kolenc. She passed away on March 6, 2017 in Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 83.Dorothy is survived by her children Gary (Susan) Proia, Gino (Sharon) Proia, and Regina Toops; grandchildren Mallory Willison, Sam Toops, Brandon Proia, and Nick Toops; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years Samuel Proia and her daughter Rosanna Proia.A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 5 PM until sunset at her gazebo on the river.
