Doris Mae McConnell WaltermireZANESVILLE: Doris Mae McConnell Waltermire, 88 of Zanesville died at 1:37 A.M. Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Genesis Hospital Zanesville. She was born on August 17, 1927 in Monroe County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harold and Freda Hines McConnell. She retired from Co-Operative Casket Company that she co-owned with her husband Jim. She was a member of Immanuel Church of Downtown Zanesville. She loved cooking for family and friends, boating and camping, Canasta Card Club and especially gardening.Surviving are a daughter, Susie Waltermire of Zanesville; two sons, Denny Waltermire of Grove City, and Bruce (Terry Jo) Waltermire of Walton, Kentucky; six granddaughters, Jodi (Derek) Dozer, April (Doug) Stemen, Brandy McElhaney, Karen Waltermire, Brittney Waltermire and Alisha Waltermire; eight great grandchildren, Drake, Mason and Rileigh Dozer, Mikaela and Colton Stemen and Jakob and Kalob McElhaney and Nyla McBride; a brother, Gary (Carol) McConnell of Lowell and two nephews, Tracey and Tom (Ginger) McConnell.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years ,James G.
