Donald E. TobeyJanuary 25, 1931 - June 25, 2017Keizer - Don Tobey, 86, of Keizer was born on January 25, 1931 in Berkley, California to Ralph and Dorthea Tobey. He died at home surrounded by family. He went to be with his Lord Jesus.Don served in the US Navy during the Korean War on the USS Weiss. While in the Navy he corresponded regularly with Leila Orlando, who he later married. Don and Lee raised their family in the Silverton hills. In addition to working full time, he spent many hours maintaining the farm. He also spent the time that he could playing games with his kids. He was a wonderful father.Don was preceded-in- death by his parents and sister. He is survived by his wife, sons Kevin (Cecelia), Michael (Carol), John and DJ (Gail), and daughters Kelly Owen (Willis), Mary Liedtke (Ken), Hope, Faith and Fatima. He has fourteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.Please join us for a Celebration of Life on July 1, 2017, 10:00 am at Unger Funeral Chapel, Silverton, Oregon.
