Diana D. HarrisLANCASTER: Diana D. Harris, age 78 of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. She was born on February 13, 1939 in Lancaster to the late Carlos & Jessie (Dobbins) Greene. She graduated from Somerset High School in 1957. She received her associate degree from Ohio University. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Galion Credit Union. She also worked many years at Kroger's in Lancaster. Diana enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was famous for her delicious peanut brittle & Christmas cookies.She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles F. Harris. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her six children, Deborah Jones of Wooster, Andrew (Jenny) Harris of Westerville, Cynthia Tallent of Cincinnati, Richard (Becky) Harris of Lancaster, Sherri (George) Petkus of Delaware, Stephen (fiancée Andrea) Harris of Westfield Indiana; her ten grandchildren, Brent Jones, Zachary Tallent, Erica (Logan) Brown, Emily Harris, Brandilyn Tallent, Colin Harris, Holly Petkus, Brendan Harris, Sarah Petkus, and Payton Harris; her two sisters, Kay Kitchen of Junction City and Rilla (Gary) Morgan of Marysville; her two brothers; Gary (Patty) Greene of Baltimore and Pat Greene of Somerset; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1343 Wheeling Rd. NE, Fr. Thomas Kessler, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
