DENNIS EDWARD HAWTHORNE was born in Los Angeles, California to the late Roger Hawthorne and Glady Lee Tennessee of Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Setember 26, 1951.

His family moved to Monrovia, California where he attended school and later met and married Tiffany Briggs. To this union was born 3 children: Daisha Bostic (Antone Bostic), Denise Hawthorne and Dennis Hawthorne Jr. 

Dennis attended Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church where he studied to become a pastor. Upon Bible College Dennis left Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church and founded his own church Word of Freedom Church in Jacksonville, FL where he met and married Rebecca brown who preceded him in his death.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Rebecca Brown, his daughters Daisha and Denise, his son Dennis Jr and grandson Sean Hawthorne. Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Dennis will be truly missed.
