Darrell Morris' Obituary
Darrell Morris
January 19, 1950 - September 5, 2023
Darrell Morris, a beloved member of the Columbus, Ohio community, passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 73.
Born on January 19, 1950, Darrell brought bundles of joy and laughter wherever he went. His infectious smile and warmhearted personality made him a cherished friend to many.
Known for his unparalleled wit and endless well of jokes, Darrell could light up a room with his presence. His quick one-liners and puns never failed to put a smile on the faces of those around him.
In addition to his sense of humor, Darrell was an avid collector of vintage vinyl records. His love for music was evident in the treasure trove of classic hits he amassed over the years. Nothing made him happier than spinning his favorite tunes, often inviting friends over for impromptu dance parties.
Darrell had a talent for bringing people together. His backyard barbecues and annual 4th of July celebrations were legendary among friends and family. The joy he found in hosting these events was unparalleled, and his delicious grilled creations will undoubtedly be missed.
When he wasn't making others laugh or reveling in the delights of good music and good food, Darrell could often be found volunteering at the local animal shelter. His compassion for all creatures, big and small, made him a beloved caretaker to countless furry friends who found their way to the shelter's doors.
Darrell will be sorely missed by his loving family, including his wife of 45 years, Diane, his children Mark and Lisa, and his three grandchildren. His positive spirit and genuine kindness will forever be remembered and celebrated by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
As we say goodbye to Darrell, let us hold onto the memories of laughter, music, and friendship he gifted us. In his honor, let us all strive to bring a little more humor and warmth into the lives of others, just as Darrell did every single day.
