Darrell Eugene Ried Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend went to be with the Lord and his wife Evelyn just a few days after his 94th Birthday. He passed away on September 2nd, 2017. Darrell was born on August 25th, 1923 in Ecorse, Michigan to Adolf and Nettie Ried. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, his parents, and his sister Zelah Cameron. He is survived by his children Garry, Pamela (Mark), Randy and Rodney, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, his brothers Lyle and Walt Ried. Darrell retired from Tacoma City Light, The WA Army National Guard, and the Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department. His easy smile and kindness will be missed by many, including his friends at The Peoples Retirement Community where Evelyn and Darrell moved after leaving their long-time home in Tillicum. Darrell will also be missed by his friends and caregivers at The Village Senior Living, which he called home for last year and a half. A memorial service will be held at the DuPont Community Presbyterian Church, 502 Barksdale Avenue, Dupont, WA 98327, on Saturday, October 28, 2017; at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donate to a .
